A message from Pastor Mike Frazier...

Throughout the last 30 years God has tremendously blessed the Missions Ministry of the Canton Baptist Temple. During that time our congregation alone has given close to 20 million dollars to missions. Equally important, though, is that our church has given of “its own” young people and couples as missionaries. Eighteen families in total have been sent from our congregation to various countries around the world. Only eternity will demonstrate the impact that this ministry has made upon countless tens of thousands of souls.

We now believe that it is time for us to take the next step. We strongly desire to become more intimately involved in caring for and meeting the needs of our missionary family. With that in mind we have established SENT Inc., and independent Missions Organization. Our goal is not to replace the larger mission organizations. Our sole desire is to personally, professionally and passionately meet the needs of those missionaries sent from our church.

We believe that God has uniquely prepared us for this task. As you browse through our website, I trust that you feel and understand the burden of our heart and hope that you will partner with our missionaries in the task that God has called them to. Our prayer is that God will greatly use us together to impact this generation with the Gospel.

Doctrinal Statement

1.   The Scriptures - We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as supernaturally and verbally inspired by God and inerrant in the original writings. They are the complete and final revelation of the will of God to man, and are the supreme authority in faith and life.
2.   The True God - We believe in one God: eternal, omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent, existing as three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, one in nature, attributes, power, and glory.
3.   Man - We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God.
4.   Salvation - We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice and rose again for our justification. All who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood and are saved by grace through faith wholly apart from human merit and works.
5.   Holy Spirit - We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine Person, equal with God the Father & God the Son; that He baptizes all believers into the body of Christ once at conversion; that He indwells, seals, endues, guides, teaches, witnesses, sanctifies, and helps the believer. We believe that the sign gifts of the Holy Spirit are completed and not applicable to the work of the Holy Spirit today.
6.   Security of the Believer - We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus are born again by the Holy Spirit through the Word of God and thereby become the children of God and are eternally secure.
7.   The Church - We believe that a local Church is an organized body of believers immersed upon credible confession of faith in Jesus Christ, sovereign in polity, and bonded together for work, worship, mutual edification, observance of the ordinances, and worldwide proclamation of the Gospel.
8.   Last Things - We believe in the bodily resurrection of all the dead, the saved to eternal life and blessedness in Heaven and the unsaved to eternal, conscious suffering and woe in Hell.

FAQ

1. Why another Mission Organization?
Our passion is not to become another large mission organization. Though we recognize that there is a place for larger mission boards, we also realize that with a large organization it is possible for the missionary’s needs to be overlooked. Our desire is to minister to our missionary families and to provide for the fulfillment of their spiritual, emotional and family needs as well as the logistical support required to carry on their ministry.

2. Why not send the missionaries through Canton Baptist Temple?

We believe that it is important to establish another 501(c)3 organization that is distinct from Canton Baptist Temple. This was necessary to provide confidence on the part of the supporters of our missionaries that their financial support was not benefiting the missions program of our local congregation. It also allows other like-minded pastors and Christian leaders to form part of the leadership team which, in the long-run, will provide strength and stability for the organization.
